John Sood Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer John is a highly regarded and respected leader in Australia’s supply chain management industry. John has developed long standing relationships with Australia’s retailers, manufacturers and wholesale distributors and has held roles in some of the industry’s largest companies. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director & CEO, John held the role of Chief Customer Officer. John’s experience also includes Executive / General Management roles at Linfox (11 years) Westgate Logistics (5 years) and Swire Group (4 years).

James Nicholias Chief Financial Officer James joined the Group in January 2024 as a growth focused and commercial CFO, with over 20 years of financial experience across multiple industries including logistics and supply chain, recycling, banking and infrastructure. Prior to joining Silk, James held senior roles at organisations including Bingo Industries Limited, JP Morgan, Macquarie Group and Deloitte. James leads the Group’s finance function and has responsibility for finance, commercial, corporate planning, business analysis, taxation and reporting. James holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ.

Dani Aquilina Chief Operating Officer Dani has over 10 years’ of relevant senior executive experience, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer (‘COO’) at The Reject Shop (ASX:TRS). Dani was appointed to the role of COO of Silk in April 2022. Dani holds a Master of Business (Logistics Management) from RMIT University and has a strong background in relevant strategy, supply chain and distribution leadership roles.

Matthew Hannah Chief Information Officer Matthew joined the Group in November 2015 as Chief Information Officer (CIO). Matthew leads the group’s IT function and has responsibility for all IT solutions, services, security, optimisation and development. Matthew is an experienced CIO with over 20 years’ experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. He is skilled in IT Transformation, IT Strategy, Supply Chain Optimisation, ITIL, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Sasha Vasiljkovic Chief Customer Officer Sasha has worked extensively in the logistics industry where he held senior roles with the Mayne Group, Toll Group, Westgate Logistics and DHL. As an inclusive leader, Sasha brings a wealth of prior experience to the position through end-to-end customer experience, driving revenue growth and value proposition. With strengths in relationship management, sales and business development, Sasha will lead the Customer function which includes National Accounts, Business Development and Marketing.

Melanie Leydin Company Secretary Melanie joined the Group in May 2020 and was appointed as Company Secretary. Melanie has over 25 years’ experience in the accounting profession and over 15 years’ experience holding board positions including company secretary of ASX listed entities. She has extensive experience in relation to public company responsibilities, including ASX and ASIC compliance, control and implementation of corporate governance, statutory financial reporting, reorganisation of companies and shareholder relations.
